SHORT BIO

Kiyoe Wakabayashi is a Jazz and Bossa Nova vocalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is known for her warm and sensual voice and electrifying performances. With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Kiyoe has performed in various venues across US and Japan, captivating audiences with her unique blend of traditional and modern Brazilian music. She is releasing her first EP "Viagem ao Brasil" in 2024 under the direction of Fabiana Cozza. On the song "Skindo Le Le" the composer (and founder of the group Viva Brasil) Claudio Amaral joins her on vocals. Kiyoe holds a masters degree in Music, and studied Jazz piano and improvisation under Frank Sumares. She also has studied Brazilian music at the California Jazz Conservatory, California Brazil Camp and Casa do Choro of Rio de Janeiro.
